Successor HTC One X with a 1.7 GHz quadcore is probably in October

HTC would be working on a successor of its Android flagship One X. That probably have a faster quadcore-soc and must be made from October in the Uk shops. It is likely that a Dutch release will follow soon.

According to Stuff.tv the device has the codename Endeavour C2, which it is a successor of the One X seems to be going; who wore the codename of Endeavour. The probable successor as well as the original version is a quadcore-soc, but that runs at 1.7 GHz instead of 1.5 GHz on the One X. It is still not yet clear what type it is; maybe it is a souped-up Tegra 3, but there are also rumors about a Snapdragon S4 soc from Qualcomm. HTC equipped the original One X with a Tegra 3, but used normally Qualcomm socs for its smartphones.

The unit must be before October 1, in the shops, for a price slightly higher than that of the first One X, thus Stuff.tv. The One X came out in april on the market with a price of approximately 550 euros. Currently, it costs the unit is almost 500 euro. The exact name of the device is still unclear; the round One X+, One X II and One XXL.

HTC is planning to introduce a larger battery to build in the new One X. in Addition, provides the manufacturer with Watch 2 a new version of its video-on-demand service. Also the buyer will receive Beats earbuds, and can except from white and black, from a still unknown color will be chosen. Support Clearvoice need the voice quality to phone calls improve.

Previously there were already benchmarks out of a HTC One X+ with a Tegra 3 at 1.7 GHz, in which the software is based on Android 4.1. This variant seemed to be planned for a release at T-Mobile in the United States, but it now seems that this new version also to Europe. Stuff.tv talks about a release in the United Kingdom, which makes a release in the Netherlands also is plausible.
