HTC sees profits plummet due to disappointing sales One smartphones

HTC has released its earnings last quarter, with nearly 60 percent decrease. That blames the manufacturer mainly to lack of sales success of his models, One S and One X in Europe and other regions. The third quarter will not go much better.

In the previous quarter, the manufacturer is still quite optimistic, because the One smartphones in the spring in the sale. The profit, however, fell by 57 percent compared to the same quarter a year ago, it now appears from the quarterly figures. Only on the Asian market, the manufacturer, say that good results. On the European market were the One smartphones indeed ‘positively received’, but the sales have been seen the results are not as good as hoped. For the third quarter is expected HTC re, a drop in profits.

HTC is since a short time in heavier weather. Until a year ago was the manufacturer for the wind and were quarter after quarter, breaking sales records. HTC has since stopped mentioning how many phones are sold, because the numbers are greatly diminished.

The manufacturer will according to the quarterly focus on increasing consumer preference for HTC devices. Exactly how that should be done, is unclear. Moreover, HTC is one of the few phone manufacturers that even makes a profit: Samsung and Apple are the other smartphonemakers who is also black to write numbers. Other manufacturers, such as Nokia, LG and Sony, only the loss on the sale of phones.

HTC took last quarter, a lot of new models in the Netherlands. The models are One X and One S, while the One V and Desire C came on the market. Generally comes HTC in the autumn with new models or new variants on current models.
