A command in a terminal window makes it possible to have multiple user accounts on the current Android 4.1 devices. However, users can a lot of information from each other, so it is still not advisable.
This week found developers code in Android that the function must allow and now it is clear that everyone with an Android 4.1 device and root access all accounts can create multiple users. Android 4.1 runs only available officially on the Google phones Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S and the Google-tablet Nexus 7. An account can be created in a terminal superuser-access to questions, and the command ‘pm create-user Name’, where name is the Name of the second user. The account that is working continues to be the primary account. The command was found by a user of XDA-Developers, after which a Belgian user discovered that it was also on a Galaxy Nexus with stock firmware based on Android 4.1 it works.
The function real use seems not yet recommended, as appears from a short test of Tweakers.net. Other users can, for example, in text messages and data from other apps. When an app from the Recent Apps screen is loaded, remains the primary user logged in. In this way can be a guest user under the name of the primary user, for example, make use of Facebook or WhatsApp. Google says that the feature is not yet finished and therefore not yet ready for daily use.

Those apps are crashing, however, at startup, or ask for an account, after which they from the main menu disappear.
It is unclear when Google the feature to have multiple users of a device to use will be present. The code for this is already a year added to Android. The use of multiple accounts, such as that on desktops and laptops has become commonplace, can still not mobile operating systems.
