Intel and Micron extend IMFT agreement

The agreement between Intel and Micron to working memory to develop and produce in a partnership that if IMFT is known, has been extended until 2024. Micron has a larger share obtained.

Both companies could include new geheugentypes develop and bring to market. So would the joint-venture Intel-Micron Flash Technologies include work on phase change memory. Also, the development of nand flash in solid state drives and usb memory is used, is further reduced and the same holds true for dram. Micron acquisition of memory manufacturer Numonyx in may 2010, and Intel’s earlier research, the joint venture and the knowledge for the development of pcm grant.

Micron and Intel have the maturity of their partnership extended until 2024, and Intel has already 300 million dollars paid for future nand products. Micron, in turn, has 65 million dollars of Intel borrowed: it is not known where that money was meant for. Possible Microns that amount is used for the remaining 18 percent owned by Intel in the production of IMFT in Singapore and Virginia to buy: that manufacturing capacity is now fully in the hands of Micron.

The joint factory in the U.s. state of Utah remains both Intel and Micron chips: the division between the two companies remains unchanged. Intel gets 49% of the produced chips, and Micron 51 percent.
