Asus would be working on a new Republic of Gamers graphics card with two gpu’s. The video card, which is the brand name Ares 2 should wear, would be about two Radeon HD 7870 ‘GHz Edition’-gpus and 4GB of video memory have
The two Radeon gpu’s are of the type Pitcairn XT and are baked according to a 28nm process, so Videocardz.com. In total, the Asus Ares 2 with the two Radeon HD 7870-gpu’s on 2560 stream processors, along with 160 texture mapping units and 64 raster operating units. The exact clock speed are not yet known, but this will be possible 1GHz amounts.
Asus would be the Ares 2 with 4GB gddr5 video memory in combination with two 256-bit interfaces. For the video card to feed two 8pin connectors on the pcb are placed. The estimated power consumption would be around 300W, while the retail price is estimated at $ 800. When the Ares 2 on the market would have to come out, it is not yet clear.
