TomTom has confirmed that it is in the summer, a navigatieapplicatie for the Android operating system will release. The software was already available for iOS, but an Android version ran in a delay.
Compared to Pocket-lint confirmed Peter-Frans Pauwels, one of the founders of the Dutch company, that an Android-app in the summer should come out. That may be so very soon. More detailed information about the release he wanted, however, not divulge. Also the price that the app is not yet known, but is probably similar to that of the iOS version. The Benelux version for iOS for example costs 59,99 euro.
According to Pauwels is the Android app similar to the iOS version. However, some adjustments will be made to the interface to optimize for Googles mobile operating system. How the interface exactly look like, is not yet known.
An Android version of the TomTom app was a long time expected, but the release has probably been delayed. A year ago, the company already ‘coming soon’ with an Android app.
