Samsung and Apple have agreed to the request of an American judge talks to go about arranging ongoing patentzaken. Both companies have many lawsuits running in various countries.

According to a document by a court to be released are Samsung and Apple ready to the possibilities for a settlement. The upcoming discussions will be led by an American judge of a district court in San Francisco. At the talks will be the ceos, Tim Cook of Apple and Choi Gee-sung of Samsung are present, which earlier rumors to be confirmed. It is not yet known when the talks begin, but according to the document, must, within 90 days happen.

The initiative seems to be mostly set up for a pending U.s. lawsuit, but it is likely that the two companies are also other lawsuits in the calls involve. The precise content of the negotiations, however, are still unclear.

It is possible that the talks to end the hardened legal battle between Apple and Samsung. Both companies already have many lawsuits against each other filed, which matters a lot for a German court. It is possible that there are cross-license agreements are closed, whereby both companies of each other’s patents. Previous attempts to make arrangements to come were however to nothing.
