Microsoft wants the load times of apps on Windows Phone can be shorten by to predict under what circumstances a user has a certain app and that in the background pre-loading. The feature is not yet downloadable.

The project name Falcon: Fast App Launching with Context. The feature is currently still in a test within the r&d department of Microsoft. The idea behind the feature is that a lot of users to certain apps under the same circumstances. The function works, for example, by analysis of the use of apps on wi-fi networks, but perhaps also on the basis of location-based services and the time of the day.

If the phone notice that there are certain circumstances occur, can he apps preloaden so load times will shorten. So would the app in theory in the vicinity of a station will automatically be a public transport app preloaden or if the user is in the morning at home, it is an app preloaden which files to display. Microsoft shows Falcon in combination with a game; games are apps which load is generally the longest it takes.

Because an app or game is already loaded, the user need him only to resume, something that is at most a few seconds. Problem is currently that the resume of apps only through the menu with recent apps to load and the back button is long pressed. As an app via the home screen or list of apps is clicked, it start always again.

It is unclear whether Microsoft want the function to be build-in in Windows Phone, or that it is a downloadable app. It is also not certain whether the feature will ever become available for users.
