Microsoft has SkyDrive applications for Windows and Mac released, that the cloud-based ge lwa integrated in the operating system. In addition, the storage capacity for new users was reduced from 25 to 7 GB.
The Windows application is compatible with Windows 8, 7 and Vista and gives users a new folder on the system that is automatically synchronized with the cloud, similar to Dropbox. On Mac OS X SkyDrive after installation of the application is accessible in Finder. Microsoft also has new apps released for Windows Phone, iPhone and iPad. An application for Android is not there.
Microsoft also has available opslagcapciteit adjusted. Previously, SkyDrive users available up to 25GB of space for their save files. Now, this is reduced to 7GB for new users. Current users that files on their SkyDrive have allowed the 25GB retain, however, they must be separately indicate that they wish to do so. According to Microsoft, roughly 99 percent of the users have less than 7GB, and will therefore few people get in trouble by the reduction.
