GT Academy 2012 starts may 1, and requires no GT5 more

Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that the annual GT Academy tournament on 1 may of the start. Ontwikkelstudio Polyphony has a stand-alone kwalificatiemodule, making Gran Turismo 5 is no longer required.

Where gamers formerly in the possession had to be of the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 5 in order to participate in the preliminaries, is that this year is no longer the case. Polyphony Digital, the ontwikkelstudio behind Gran Turismo 5, has a series of separate challenges made that los can be downloaded. Also gamers without Gran Turismo 5 can in this way participate in the onlinevoorronden of the GT Academy 2012, so made Sony well-known.

The tournament, organized by automaker Nissan and Sony Computer Entertainment, eventually there will be three European grid of racing talents and an American racetalent yield. Winners must come from onlinevoorronden, a national final and then a European final, which will be held at the Silverstone circuit in England. The four winners will be invited, after getting a raceopleiding, to participate in the 24 hours of Dubai in January 2013 held.

The GT Academy has in recent years made a name as a springboard for talented young drivers. Several international winners have found a place in the racing world.
