Dutch winner of GT Academy gets a place in the team

The winner of the Dutch GT Academy, a Gran Turismo 5 contest where eventually a job as a driver earned could be, makes this weekend his debut in the racing world. His team-mate, the experienced racing driver Tim Coronel.

The 24-year-old Thomas Arends showed himself to be the best racer in the Dutch version of the GT Academy in 2011 and was fifth in the European final battle. Then called Nissan and PlayStation the Dutchman to the HDI-Gerling Dutch GT Championship for the Nissan GT Academy Team. Also Tim Coronel, Sandor van Es and Bertus Sanders get behind the wheel of the two Nissan 370Z’s.
