Canon has two new models in its Cinema EOS line released. The EOS-1D C is essentially a EOS-1D X, but with the ability to output 4k video, while the EOS C500 the new model for filmmakers.
Canon was previously already known to be busy with the development of a dslr with 4k video ability and showed at the introduction of the canon EOS C300 video system is already a prototype of this camera, but the EOS-1D C is now officially announced.
The EOS-1D C has the same body and specifications as the EOS-1D X dslr, but it has added the ability to output 4k video with a frame rate of 23.976 fps and 1080/60p video. For 4k video is a crop of the full-frame image sensor the size of a aps-h sensor taken, so no interpolation is needed. This prevents the occurrence of moiré and other image defects. In addition to a 4k crop, it is also possible to have a Super35mm crop in full hd recording, for filmmakers with that field of view are known.

The EOS-1D C has the same specifications as the EOS-1D X, including two Digic 5+chips for image processing, an af module with 61 af points, an iso range of 100-25.600 and a 3.2″display on the back. The EOS-1D C is from October.
Also announced Canon the development of the EOS C500 camera. This is the new top model in the Cinema EOS line of Canon and adds on the top of the specifications of the current C300 video camera the ability to output 4k raw video. Also is 2k video, with a 12bit-4:4:4 signal and its frame rates are possible of up to 120fps in 4k – and 2k-resolution. Just as the EOS C300 the EOS C500 comes with Canon EF – or PL-lensmount.
In addition to the two Cinema EOS bodies, Canon introduced two new Cinema EOS lenses in both Canon EF – and PL-mount. The CN-E15.5-47mm T2.8 is a new wide-angle lens, while the CN-E30-105mm T2.8 a new telezoomobjectief. Both lenses are suitable for 4k video.
