Prince of Persia-the author makes a new version of Karateka

Jordan Mechner is working with a small team on a remake of his own debut Karate, a fighting game that he in 1984 for the Apple II. The new version will appear later this year as a download for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Mechner made Karateka in 1984, when he was still a student at Yale University. The game appeared for the Apple II, and there were a half a million copies sold, that was a good number. The fighting game was known for its realistic animations. Mechner has now money losgepeuterd by an investor to a small team with a new version of the classic. The game would be later this year as a download to appear for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. About the new version Mechner still not letting go.

Jordan Mechner was really well known when he was in 1989 Prince of Persia developed for publisher Brøderbund. Also the action around the lithe prince appeared as a first for the Apple II, where again the animation of the characters in the picture much praise was given. In 2001, Mechner work with Ubisoft, a remake of Prince of Persia. Who would be in 2003 when Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time appear on the market. Then would Mechner contribute to the script of the feature film with the same title.
