The next generation of processors from AMD, the Piledriver-generation Bulldozer architecture should follow, would be much higher speeds. AMD’s technique would be Piledriver-based processors above 4GHz let tap.

The higher clock speed would not be accompanied with a higher tdp, a measure of the heat that the processors produce. The technique that AMD bet, ‘resonant clock mesh technology” can also be used for the tdp with 10 per cent at the same clock speed. The technique was developed by the company Cyclos Semiconductor, and is the first deployed in AMD’s 32nm-Piledriver-cpu’s. According to AMD resulted in the use of Cyclos’ technology are no delays in the chipontwerp or changes in the silicon, so left it during the ISSCC know.

The technique of Application makes just as other processors using a mesh or network by the clock signal to all components of a processor to send, but the energy is recycled. Electricity, and thus the clock signal, by means of an LC-circuit for a large part preserved, while that in a traditional design, is not the case. The distribution of the clock signal on the chip may need to by the Cyclos’ mesh technique with a 24 percent reduced, which would result in a power reduction of 10 percent.

The extra leeway that that gives what the heat are concerned, AMD is to the Piledriver-based processors, faster clocks. Also, AMD’s Trinity apus, the Piledriver cores on board, would be the technique to take advantage of.
