Sony has its CES press conference, new tv models for 2012 announced. It is not a complete overhaul, but a complement to existing models. The appearance and the image processing are addressed.
In total, Sony has four new tv series at the CES 2012 announced. The Bravia HX850 and HX750 are sequentially the successors of the current Bravia HX820 and HX720. The tv’s are also included in the higher segment. The biggest difference between the Bravia HX850 and HX750 is, just as in the previous generation the use of glass as a top layer, probably the Gorilla Glass on the Bravia HX850, while the Bravia HX750 this cover glass has not.
In addition, the Sony Bravia HX850 and HX750 regard to specifications further apart. Thus, only the HX850 X-Reality Pro-imager, while the HX750 has to do with the X-Reality engine. Both X-Reality engines are also updated with the image automatically to adjust on the basis of, for example, faces in images, or the source from which the images originated. Also, the Super Resolution technology now with 3d content.
Also, the HX850 edge-lit led backlight with a limited local dimming option, while the HX750 only per frame dim. The two tv series, according to Sony, a faster switching panel for less crosstalk in 3d display, and they have built-in wi-fi.
Sony announced at the CES, the Bravia EX650 and EX550. In contrast to the current Bravia EX720 has the EX650 is no 3d-support, while the EX550 an hd ready model. Just as the two more expensive models are the EX650 and EX550 equipped with built-in wi-fi. Sony has the HX750, EX650 and EX550 a more elegant foot given, while the HX850 is a new design-speakervoet with smoother lines.
The Bravia HX850 series is starting in april in the Netherlands, available in the sizes 40″, 46″ and 55″, while the Bravia HX750-series from the same month in a 32″version available. Bravia EX650-series is in april available in the 40″variant and in may for the 32″ and 46″version, while the Bravia EX550 in the sizes of 22″ and 26″ from april in the shops. The recommended prices are not yet known.
