Sapphire is working on a video card based on AMD’s yet unannounced Radeon HD 7950 gpu. The card features a custom-koelerontwerp and is by Sapphire probably with higher clock speed.

That is apparent from pictures posted by a user from the Guru3D forum online. The HD 7950 gpu, which, according to the latest posts at the end of this month is announced, it is by Sapphire on 900MHz clocked and features 1792 streamprocessors. The default speeds of the gpu are not yet known, but the term ‘OC’ in the product name of the Sapphire card indicates that he is overclocked.

The gpu is a 384bits memory bus in connection with 3GB of gddr5 memory with an effective clock speed of 5000MHz. Sapphire has the stockkoeler exchanged for a dualslots instance with two fans. On the back of a dvi, an hdmi and two mini-displayport connections in place. The price and the release date are not yet known.
