Microsoft publishes hardware requirements for Windows 8 tablets

Microsoft has a list of requirements published in which the minimum specifications for Windows 8 tablets. So devices must, at a minimum, a resolution of 1366×768 pixels and 10GB of storage space.

In addition to resolution and storage space, Microsoft also requirements to the connectivity; wi-fi and bluetooth 4.0 are present on Windows 8 tablets. In addition, the enclosure must be five hardware buttons include, two for volume, one for turn on and turn off of the device, a Windows button and a button that prevents the screen rotates. At the same time pressing the Windows and power button should have an equivalent of ctrl+alt+delete. The camera on a Windows 8 tablet should be at least in 720p resolution. The screen will have multitouch support, five points at a time can be registered.

Several companies have already indicated that tablets to go with Windows 8. So have HP, Nokia, Asus and Lenovo mobile devices with the yet to be released operating system in the schedule. Also HTC is suspected that a Windows 8 tablet is coming.

The expectation is that the first devices with Windows 8 in the summer or fall of 2012 on the market. The operating system is characterised by the Metro interface, which Microsoft for Windows Phone has been developed. The interface for both desktops and mobile devices available.
