The Dutch manufacturer of lithography equipment ASML has achieved a record turnover and a profit turned in 2011 and the first quarter of 2012 to be sunny. The company would already be a lot of orders for this year.
ASML is the world’s largest manufacturer of devices with lithographic halfgeleidertechniek wafers to describe. The results of the company are as important guidance for the state of affairs in the technological sector. Thanks to orders already in 2010, ASML achieved a record turnover and profit achieved in 2011. The profit for the year came out at eur 1.47 billion euros and sales of 5.65 billion euros.
In the fourth quarter of 2011 performed ASML a lot better than in the previous quarter, although there is less profit was made than in the comparable quarterly period of 2010. There was 710 million euro ordered, or 37 new machines. ASML expects that the number of orders in the first quarter of 2012 turns out to be higher. The revenue in the first half of this year is expected to be 2.4 billion euros.
ASML would be little affected by the euro crisis, because the most orders from the USA and Asia. The company expects in the second half of this year to be able to start with the delivery of the NXE:3300. This is the successor of the new NXE:3100 and there would be 11 orders for this lithography machine.
