Steam record five million logged-in users

The onlinegameplatform Steam on 2 January 2012, the milestone of five million users logged in reached. The popularity of Skyrim and the special kerstmisdeals of Steam contributed to the record number of gamers.

The stats page of Steam shows that on January 2, 2012 to a peak of 5.012.654 logged-in users was noted. In the week before the turn of the year the record was already several times broken, but on January 2, was the number of simultaneously logged-in users for the first time about the five million.
