The OPTA is forcing KPN to withdraw from the public procurement procedures for fixed telephony. Previously been made, the supervisor announced that the telecommunications company be subject to enhanced supervision was placed as a result of observed violations.
The reason for the decision of the OPTA is a longer-running dispute between Tele2 and KPN. The two companies are arguing for more than a year on the job, that may be 120 million euros, which is about the supply of fixed telephony services.

“OPTA has the matter investigated and, Tele2 follows in the argument that the consequences of this violation are indeed still persist,” said the watchdog in a statement. “KPN’s bid still stands, while competitors do not have the opportunity to have been given a new bid which they the promotion also could take.”
OPTA, KPN therefore a cease and desist order imposed for the telecommunications company to force the bid to withdraw. If KPN does not, than risk a penalty of 100,000 euros per day with a maximum of one million euros.
