The first jailbreak for the iPhone 4S may come the next week. That says a developer on Twitter. While the iPhone 4 and iPad 1 under iOS 5, however, all his gejailbreakt, continued with the iPhone 4S and iPad 2, with the same OS, closed.

The jailbreak works probably only under iOS 5.0.1, this is what Pod2g on Twitter. He recommends users to update, whereas previously the advice was to do the update correct not to do so. The developer thinks that the jailbreak next week can come true, because he recently progress has been booked. The reference to A5 in the tweet refers to the processor in the iPhone 4S and iPad 2: Apple’s own A5 soc.

It is unclear how the jailbreakmethode works, but it may be that it has something to do with the Corona jailbreak, which Pod2g on his blog explained. The developer says that he the details, because this jailbreak is released. Probably brings Apple anyway, a fix for the vulnerability in its next update.

The iPhone 4S and iOS 5 were both in October of last year, but are still not gejailbreakt. A jailbreak gives users the possibility to install apps outside of Apple’s own App Store. Also modifications are possible without jailbreak is not possible, such as adding toggles for 3g and wi-fi via BossPrefs, or install themes via Winterboard.

Last week was a jailbreak for older Apple devices with iOS 5. A jailbreak is always to wait for, because developers need to make use of security flaws in iOS. Apple close the leaks always with updates, so the manufacturer and developers are constantly in a cat-and-mouse game engage in.
