Sonos gets support for Android tablets

Sonos has released a software update issued that the support of the Sonos Controller for Android tablets to its wireless audio system brings. Also, there is integration of the service, Slacker and improved Spotify support.

Software update 3.6 brings several new features to the Sonos Wireless Hifi system. The system is now operated using tablets that Android-version 2.2 or higher to run. Also features Sonos Controller for Android now enhancements like alarms, management of the music library, and Twitter support.

The update provides support for Sonos Labs. This is a new experimental service that users new functionality can be tested before Sonos, the official added. Media and music service (s) must sign as part of Labs want to be. The software update also improves the Spotify integration. Among other Spotify users can now have their inbox view and the top lists and new releases to listen to.

The Sonos system also has support for aac+ and Americans and Canadians can the Slacker-service approach. This service offers a streaming-music collection, also selected radio stations and playlists.
