Publisher Namco Bandai Partners via a lawsuit the uitgeefrechten of the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2 to be recovered. This is an agreement that certain that THQ, the game was allowed to spend, no longer apply.
Namco Bandai Partners brought in last summer, the pc version of The Witcher 2: Assassin’s of Kings on the market, but THQ announced at the end of June to the system console versions of that game are going to spend. Then harnessed Namco immediately filed a lawsuit. The Japanese company blamed ontwikkelstudio CD Projekt breach of the distribution agreement by a patch out that drm protection removed from the pc version and to conclude a deal with THQ. A French court has Namco Bandai same.
According to the French court could CD Projekt, which was of the opinion that the agreement with Namco Bandai only pertained to the pc version, his opinion is not sufficiently substantiate the claim. The Polish ontwikkelstudio of the court commissioned the uitgeefrechten of the Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2 within fifteen days to carry over to Namco Bandai, with a 15,000 euro fine for each day of that period is exceeded.
In a comment left CD Projekt-director Marcin Iwinski know not to be satisfied with the decision, but happy that the conflict in each case behind the back. Namco Bandai Partners and THQ have not yet commented on the ruling. Or which has consequences for the release date of The Witcher 2 for the Xbox 360 is not yet known. The game is scheduled for the first quarter of 2012.
