The Parisian museum the Louvre is Nintendo 3DS handhelds use to visitors by the museum to lead. The museum has 5000 handhelds ordered. Nintendo makes the software for the virtual tour through the museum.
The handheld keeps track of where visitors in the museum and presents information about the art in the relevant room. There are hundreds of recorded commentaries, in seven different languages. There is also a special version for children is available. The Louvre is the first museum to be the handheld in this way bet, set Agnes Alfandari, who is in charge of the project. The museum is also working on a new app for smartphones and iPad, at the beginning of 2012, though the museum is not unique.
