Microsoft is working on Dutch speech recognition update

Microsoft is busy trying to get speech recognition for the Dutch language to develop. The company is looking for volunteers for a project. Currently, software such as Windows or Office still no Dutch speech recognition.

In a call on Twitter of Tony Krijnen it pro evangelist at Microsoft Netherlands, is to read that the software company, is looking for volunteers for a Dutch spraakherkenningproject. Microsoft would be looking for votes from various regions to be as certain dialects to be better able to recognize and therefore the accuracy of its voice recognition software to improve. The company is also working for some time with a number of groups to enable English-Speaking votes to collect.

When Microsoft Dutch speech recognition exactly would like to introduce, the software company, not yet say. Also, it is unclear in which Microsoft products to use speech recognition in English applied will be; currently offer Windows and Office only speech recognition in English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Simplified chinese and Traditional Chinese.

In addition to the Windows operating system and office suite Office Microsoft would the Dutch-language speech recognition can also apply in Kinect for the Xbox 360. In addition, it is not inconceivable that Microsoft aims to Windows Phone Dutch-language speech recognition offer.

Examples are phrases or words such as ‘tray close’, ‘xbox my preferences to show’ and ‘Kinect’. Microsoft seems so focused on the Xbox Kinect compatible with the Dutch language.
