PlayStation Vita is coming February 22 to Europe

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has confirmed that the PlayStation Vita on 22 February 2012 outside of Japan to purchase will be. The handheld will then appear in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia before and Australia lwa. Also the prices are known.

If the PlayStation Vita on 22 February 2012 in Europe is launched, the wi-fi-only model at a suggested retail price of 250 euros, while the 3g model for 300 euros is offered, as Sony makes known. With the PS Vita is Sony to compete with Nintendo, that in February 2011, the 3DS launched. In contrast to the handheld from Nintendo, the Vita is not a 3d screen. Sony is going with the Vita mainly for ease of use and features the new handheld is equipped with an oled touchscreen, a touchpad on the back of the handheld, two analog sticks, motion sensors and a camera in front and a second camera on the back of the system.

Sony announced the Vita at the beginning of this year under the working title of Next Generation Portable. As usual it appears the handheld as a first in its home country of Japan, where the Vita from 17 december to purchase. There are at the Japanese launch about 30 games available for the system. That there will be more as the Vita in Europe appears, though it is not known how many. According to Sony there are more than 80 games for the PS Vita worked, including LittleBigPlanet, WipeOut 2048, Resistance: Burning Skies and Uncharted Golden Abyss. Further in the future are games in popular series like Assassin’s Creed, FIFA and Call of Duty.
