Luxury Apartment in an old recording Studio

Milan’s Daniele Meli is creative Director in an advertising company. Since 2011, he lives in a converted recording Studio. The apartment is a total of 225 square meters and extends over two floors.

The apartment is located in the historic district of Milan, Porta Ticinese with the views of ancient waterways. Right next door: old factories and workshops, which have now been converted into luxury apartments.
Through a large entrance portal leads directly into the 120 square meter ground floor, where kitchen, dining and living room. In the first floor several bedrooms, master bathroom and work room.
Has transformed the recording Studio, within eight months, a close friend and architect of the family – Ottaviano Ciabatti. The motto was, remove the Material to create space for light. Thus, a corridor was created on the first floor, for example, with a floor made of glass. This light penetrates up to the ground floor. Also in the roof there is a large incision, so that light can reach all corner of the apartment.
