Galaxy drives Samsung

Samsung is the largest Smartphone manufacturer in the world and want to grow this year again. The shops in the last quarter were shiny, thanks to the winning charm Galaxy.

Each of the business units of the Korean group’s growth in the past three months. Samsung builds in addition to mobile phones, among other things, television and memory chips. The most important profit driver, however, was the new Galaxy Smartphone. The operating profit increased in the quarter compared to the previous year by more than 17 percent to the equivalent of 6.3 billion euros.

That was the best result since more than two years, told Samsung on Thursday. Sales rose by three percent. Experts estimate that the group has delivered between April and June, around 16 million units of its model Galaxy 7. Sales at rivals Apple and LG didn’t go so well.

According to the U.S. market research firm IDC, Samsung leads the global market with a share of 24.5 percent. Apple remains the number two with a market share of 15.3 percent. Huawei from China follows in third place with 8.2 percent.
