FIFA-follow-up: No Two-thirds majority in the first ballot

In the decision on the new President of the world football Association FIFA has it in the first round of voting with no result given. Four candidates are fighting for a Two-thirds majority. The procedure goes on.

Tokyo Sexwale of South Africa, had his candidacy to be the new President of the football world Federation FIFA on Friday afternoon shortly before the start of the secret election is withdrawn. Sexwale was already as hopeless.

Thus, to remain General Secretary Gianni Infantino of the European football Union (45 years/Switzerland), Asia Verbandschef Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa (50/Bahrain), Prince Ali bin Al Hussein (40/Jordan) and Jérôme Champagne (57/France) in the race to succeed the Swiss Sepp Blatter.

The Europeans Infantino was in the first round with 88 votes up front, followed by Sheikh Salman with 85 votes. Prince Ali bin Ali Hussein got 27 votes, is cut down Jerome Champagne, with seven delegates. The winner needs a Two-thirds majority.
