Dance now! 2016 is “Tanzjahr”
A prelude to the “Tanzjahres 2016” in Berlin: Federal President Joachim Gauck received in Schloss Bellevue and dance Companies from all over the country. The event is to dance as an art form in the society popular.

Official launch at the Bellevue Palace
The Tanzjahr 2016 started this Friday in Berlin’s Bellevue Palace with German President Joachim Gauck as the host. Opened it with a one-hour presentation of dance companies from all over Germany.

A year full of dance
The opening on Friday was the first big Event of the year, with many more in the whole of Germany to follow. First is the “Tanzplattform Deutschland” from the 2. up to 6. Dance in Film
The German dance archive in Cologne is using the occasion and also presented a four-day film festival with a focus on the role of dance in documentation.
