TP-Link at CES, a new powerline adapter shown gross throughput can reach 1.2 Gbit/s. The TL-PA8030 makes use of the relatively new HomePlug AV2 standard, which is sufficient speed for data-intensive network applications.

The powerline adapter used three wires of the elektriciteitsbekabeling – phase, neutral and earth, and thus multiple connections. Together with mimo technology of the HomePlug AV2 protocol would speeds of up to 1.2 Gbit/s can be achieved.

According to TP-Link to configure the TL-PA803 adapter automatically the network connection on the electricity grid. There would be distances up to 300 meters can be bridged, while the data using 128bit aes encryption to be encrypted.

The adapter has three gigabit ethernetaansluitingen. Further, TP-Link know that the powerline adapter has a power save mode, allowing the adapter to 85 percent less power consumed, and that the TL-PA803 also compatible with older HomePlug protocols. The adapter must be in the third quarter in the shops for a yet unknown price.
