Samsung Portable SSD T1 announced an external solid state drive is available with storage capacities of 250GB to 1TB. The T1 supports hardware encryption and includes a usb 3.0 port.
The Portable SSD T1 measures 71×9,2×53,2 millimeter and weighs about 30 grams. The external ssd via a usb 3.0 cable to a pc or notebook can be linked. According to Samsung know the ssd read and write speeds up to 450MB/s to achieve. It would be up to 21,000 iops.
Samsung provides the T1 with 250GB, 500GB and 1TB of storage. Data on the storage media, using 256bit aes encryption will be encrypted. Furthermore, Samsung’s Portable SSD T1 are much less sensitive to data loss than a regular external hard drive. The so-called Dynamic Thermal Guard technology, the data in addition to safeguard in case of extreme temperature conditions.
