A group of tweakers has Monday and Tuesday an arcade machine assembled at the headquarters of Tweakers in Amsterdam. The slot has as a theme Tweak Battle, the platformshooter that Tweakers on 1 april 2014 released.
At the end of november there was a call on Gathering of Tweakers placed to assist in the making of an arcade machine. Goal was to have a cabinet to build for the new living room of Tweakers, with the headquarters in Amsterdam. The arcade machine had to Tweak Battle start to run, the game that Tweakers 1 april 2014 published and where players against each other as Tweaker-worker with Nerf guns.
Of the group of people who had logged on, entered a small selection to get started with the preliminary work. So I went Bladeslayer to get started with the making of the freesmallen and were the buttons for the sticks engraved. DarthSjaak provided for planning and design. Monday went Bladeslayer, Oscar the Grouch, DarthSjaak, Sieve and hidjedewitje at the headquarters in the battle of the parts to put together.
Among others were the buttons of the controller is placed, was a pc of paper with a ssd bolted together and was a lcd monitor from Dell in the closet hung. The choice for a lcd, led to heated discussions with crt-followers. Tuesday mornings were still the necessary pc problems fixed and after the application of the artwork and the plexiglass could be Tuesday afternoon before 18.00 hours the cabinet is put into operation.
The finishing touch was the led lights on the bottom. After the scroll up and placing the cabinet in the living room, was the Tweakers-HQ a gem richer.
