Multiple providers could, in India the access to 32 websites have been blocked. Among other Pastebin, GitHub and Dailymotion are among the affected sites. The large-scale blockade is reportedly on the insistence of the Indian government.

The Indian government according to Indian internet users, especially 32 websites. The authenticity of the image on the internet circulates, however, is not confirmed yet. Vodafone belongs, according to the Times of India to the providers that a blockage can pose. On the other hand, the blocked sites are still using other networks to be visited, according to the newspaper. The Times of India, for example, has no problems on the 3g network of Airtel.

The blockade would, on the burden of the so-called Department of Telecommunications, which is part of the Indian ministry of communications and information technology. Pastebin posted on december 19, a tweet in which all mention of the blockade was made. A week later, the message that the service is still blocked in India. Pastebin advised users to proxydiensten to use.

An official reason for the blockade is not yet given. On Twitter however, it is reported that the websites content that is ‘against India’ would focus. Only if the content is removed and is worked on a research, the sites allegedly.
