Intel has announced that through a special fund of 300 million dollars is to invest in companies that can contribute to the Ultrabook ecosystem. The investments are spread over a period of three to four years.
Intel unveiled the Ultrabook concept earlier this year at the Computex trade show in Taipei. The new laptopcategorie is characterized by a sleek aluminum body, a second-generation Core i-processor, long battery life, and fast start-up times. Asus presented simultaneously with Intel’s introduction of its UX21-Ultrabook, and recently leaked pictures of Acers first Ultrabook. According to Intel the first Ultrabooks later this year in the shops.
