RIM shows new version BlackBerry App World

Research In Motion has screenshots posted online in which the new features of the revamped BlackBerry App World. The store for BlackBerry applications gets a different rubrieksindeling and improved search.

The most visible change in the BlackBerry App World 3.0 is the start screen. New is, among other things, a direct search for applications, games and themes in the shop for sale. Also, various sorteermogelijkheden added, allowing easier distinction is between free and paid applications and games.

By adding different lists of successful apps, themes and games, it is clear that RIM aims to get even more revenue from the App World store. Also, the ability to use the App World application is directly send messages to a particular game or an interesting app to prices on Twitter and Facebook, point in that direction.

The new BlackBerry App World 3.0 environment is currently as a beta download. Other innovations are, according to RIM an improved management of the user account, paid subscriptions via BBID and a new barcode scanner.
