PlayStation Vita will not be released until next year in Europe

Sony will give the PlayStation Vita until 2012, in Europe and the United States release, PlayStation boss Kaz Hirai announced. The new handheld from Sony will be the turn of the year only in Japan for sale.

The AP reports that Kaz Hirai of Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that the PlayStation Vita early next year in Europe and the United States will go on sale. The new handheld in 2011 still released in Japan, mentioned Hirai no concrete date. Previously went the rumor that the Vita is already the end of October in the European shops.

Sony has until now said that the PlayStation Vita for the holidays globally in phases is released. The manufacturer gives on Tuesday, August 16, prior to the Gamescom, a press conference where possible in detail will be announced when the Vita in the store.

Hirai says that Sony does not intend for the prices of the handheld to decrease, such as Nintendo with the 3DS did when the sales figures were disappointing.
