Dell and HP go OpenStack support. It is still unknown whether HP OpenStack is going to be included, but Dell does that in any case, however, do. The open-source cloudsoftware OpenStack is a project of RackSpace and NASA.

Dell and HP will join OpenStack, following among others, Citrix, Intel, Canonical, and Cisco. HP will not or products with OpenStack will be released, but the company seems to be there to be goals as it speaks about ‘seamless experiences’. Dell is slightly more explicit and has announced that OpenStack is going to be bundled with dell PowerEdge C servers. Also, Dell has a proprietary tool for OpenStack cloud computing install.

OpenStack is based on the server software that RackSpace and NASA in their data centres, and a year ago started. In February, RackSpace, the developer of the NASA-part of the software.
