“Belgian intelligence services to ask Google more data”

The ministry of justice has asked Google more data on users. This is evident from the Transparency Report that Google has put online. The Dutch justice approaches the search giant a lot less, as it turns out.

In total, Belgian services in the first half year of 2014 213 times filed a request with Google, which was about the retrieval of the data of more than 500 accounts. Dutch services were asked in the same period, 72 times dates, which she dates to about 95 accounts, it is evident from the Transparency Report that Google has put online.

Thus, a growing number of requests from the ministry of justice further. In the first half of 2013 was 194 requests, while in the first six months of 2012, 107 requests were.

Relative to many other countries, Belgian services much data on, but some countries withdraw more often at Google to call. The United States, and home to the search giant, early in the first half of 2014 more than 12,000 times, dates, German services were more than 3300 times.

Both the Netherlands and Belgium are among the countries which Google requests the most honors. Dutch services were given in 82 percent of the cases, at least some of the data, at the Belgian services that happened in 73% of cases. In Germany this happened, for example, only 48 percent of the requests.
