Harddiskfabrikant Western Digital has launched two new drives are VelociRaptor series added. Drives with identical capacities were already available, but WD has new drives of a sata-600 interface.
In the list VelociRaptors were all drives with storage capacities of 150GB and 300GB, but the latest drives in the range of Western Digital have a more current interface. The older 150GB and 300GB version had a sata-300 interface, while the two new variants, one sata-600-gate got. The VelociRaptors are 2,5″drives, which are supplied in a 3.5″enclosure that Western Digital IcePack calls.
