KPN moved Getronics jobs to India

Of the four thousand jobs at KPN disappear, the half of jobs at Getronics. The largest part of the jobs is outsourced to India. Redundancies in the automation expert are not excluded.

At the presentation of his interim report made KPN announced that the 2000 to 2500 jobs at its subsidiary Getronics deletes. “The biggest part is moved to India”, says KPN spokesman Stefan Simons. The outsourcingbedrijf MindTree provides for the move of the jobs. It is unknown whether there are redundancies will fall; Simons says that this ‘cannot be excluded’.

It was already known that KPN jobs would be deleted: at the presentation of its results for the first quarter of 2011 the company announced that the four – to five thousand jobs wegbezuinigt.

In addition, stops KPN in the Netherlands with the use of the brand name to Getronics. The services will now, under the flag of KPN offer. KPN took over Getronics in 2007 and deleted in 2009 as many as 1400 jobs in the ict-service provider.
