The first FX-processors from AMD would be on 19 september. On the first day, two would octacores, a hexacore and quadcore available; a few months later would be four faster processors appear.
The first four FX processors are Black Editions with codename Zambezi. Which cpu’s are at 32nm produced Bulldozer cores on board and be in AM3+motherboards inserted. The first batch of FX processors consists of the octacores FX-8100 and FX-8150 with a clock speed of respectively 2.8 GHz and 3.6 GHz. The hexacore in september is the 3.3 GHz geklokte FX-6100 and FX-4100 quad-core ticking at 3.6 GHz.
A few months later, in the first quarter of 2012, the second wave of FX-cpu’s appear. Also these cpu’s are all Black Editions with freely adjustable multipliers. The second series relates to so-called ‘speed bumps’ of the processors in september would appear. In addition, the FX processors from both batches about Turbo Core technology, which allows the clock speed to up to 4.5 GHz can be increased.
The prices would, according to the Chinese website Hkepc.com out at $ 320 for the top model and 290 dollars for the slower octacore. The hexacore will cost $ 240 and the stock should be $ 190 muster. All prices are according to Hkepc with a circulation of a thousand copies. The 2012 upgrades would have similar prices.
A version of Zambezi with three Bulldozer-cores, the FX-3150, would also be introduced, but this triplecore would only be for oem’s available. This processor would be at 3.6 GHz tapping it with a turbo to 4.2 GHz. The multiplier is, unlike the consumer versions, not adjustable, and the tdp is 80W less than the 95W and 125W of the other cpus.
