Acer is reportedly with notebooks based on Intel’s Ultrabook-reference platform that in six seconds. The manufacturer from Taiwan would be working on high-end notebookmodellen that more than a thousand euro should cost.
Acer chairman JT Wang has according to Digitimes at the announcement of the quarterly figures, said that his company in december Ultrabooks on the market. Acer would have said that the models in six seconds can boot and 2.5 seconds to connect to the internet. The expected price would be more than a thousand euros and that is against the meaning of Intel, that thousand euros regards as a maximum price for Ultrabooks.
Acer would, however, at a higher segment focus to its profitability to increase. Acer has a market share in the face and suffered a reversal in the recent time, among others with large inventories. Acer would have this month with a notebook with Nvidia Tegra 2 soc want to come and also the company would start with the delivery of his deferred Iconia A100 with 7″screen. This month would be 30,000 piece to be delivered and in the months of August and september would be up to 100,000 tablets. Acer expected in the third quarter a total of 300,000 tablets to be able to deliver.
