Valve state data Deus Ex-thieves only after summons

Valve has more information about the Italians an early version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution have been stolen, and on torrentsites. The data, however, only after a court order, that has now been requested.

Square Enix, the publisher of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, began a lawsuit against the group of Italians that the theft involved. The publisher has not, however, identity of the suspects managed to figure out, and hope that Valve can help.

Square Enix, in may, a preview version of the rpg available to an Italian editor of the magazine Giochi per il Mio Computer. The editor could the pc version of the game download via Steam. The preview version popped up on torrentsites. Valve then has the game via a torrent downloaded and the code examined. Defects in the code being Valve on the Steam account of the editor, could the developer find out that the game was downloaded from a different ip address than that of the editor. The developer protects, however, the personal data of the Steam-members.
