SeaMicro has its SM10000-serverlijn refreshed. The new bib reads SM10000-64HD and contains compared to its predecessor fifty percent more processors, for a total of 384 dual-core-Atom-N570-cpu.

The new SM10000-64HD of SeaMicro contains 384 64bit-dualcore-Atom N570 cpu with two threads per core. Each processor can have up to 4GB of ddr3 memory, enabling the server up to 1536 gb of ram can accommodate. A single SM10000-64HD costs converted to something less than 169.000 euros and is available immediately.

The rest of the specifications is equivalent to that of the in February launched SM10000-64: a 10U high enclosure, up to 64 hdds or ssds, and four power supplies, one of which as a reserve. The average power consumption would be under the 3.4 kilowatts. Also, there are a maximum of 64 gigabit ethernetinterfaces and has the built-in cpu-loadbalancer a doorvoorsnelheid of 1,28 Tbps.

SeaMicro specializes in servers with a high processordichtheid and a low energy consumption. The first iteration of the SM10000 server cluster was constructed around 512 Atom Z530 processor from Intel, which at 1.6 GHz ran and it had about 2GB of ram per processor. The second version, listened to the name SM10000-64, and consisted of 256 Atom N570 cpus and up to 4GB of memory per processor. The newly introduced SM10000-64HD is the third iteration in a year’s time.
