Comex, known to many jailbreaks for iOS devices, has released a new version of its website JailbreakMe online: the jailbreaktool was already suitable for a large number of iOS devices, but support for the iPad 2 lacked. The tool makes use of a vulnerability in the handling of pdf files to ensure the security of the Apple tablet. According to the author, can jailbreakers with iTunes restorefunctie the tablet back in its original condition.
Previously there was a beta version of the jailbreak out. This seemed, however, to work only for the iPad 2 version with wi-fi, and iOS version 4.3. Some time before that, comex has already demonstrated that it was possible for the iPad 2 to be jailbroken. Comex is well known in the jailbreakcircuit: he developed amongst others the previous versions of the JailbreakMe website, and got Flash working on the iPhone and iPod Touch.
