Samsung shows thin Series 3 laptops

Samsung has an event an early look at its upcoming Series 3 laptops. The not-yet-announced notebooks are thin, have large touchpads, and go next to Intel Sandy Bridge chips, AMD Llano-apus contain.

The upcoming Series 3 laptops were separately spotted by Engadget and LaptopMag on the Digital Experience event. There are variants with screen sizes of 11.6″, 12,1″, 13,3″ and 15,6″. The notebooks with Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors are provided, but there will also be a model with AMD A4 apu.

The Series 3 models get silver metallic enclosures, chiclet keyboards, large touchpads, and matte screens. The 15,6″version with an AMD-apu, however, in a black casing with a glossy screen.

The small versions have two usb ports, ethernet, hdmi and an sd card reader. The 15.6 inch models are given in addition, a usb port, a vga output, and an optical drive. The 15.6 inch Series 3 with Core i3 would be in the USA 599 dollar cost and the sale would soon begin. When the new series comes to the Netherlands is not yet known.
