‘RIM wants to QNX-based BlackBerry faster to release’

BlackBerry-maker RIM would release its first smartphone on QNX want to bring forward. QNX is the successor of BlackBerry OS and already runs on the PlayBook tablet. The plans for a 10″PlayBook would be in the refrigerator.

The BlackBerry with QNX would be a 4.3″screen with a resolution that is referred to as ‘900+’, reports N4BB. Probably indicates that at a resolution of 960×640 pixels, such as the iPhone 4, or 960×540 pixels, including the HTC Sensation and Evo 3D. The processor is presumably the same as that of the BlackBerry Bold 9900: a Qualcomm MSM8255 at a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. The MSM8255 is a singlecore-soc on Qualcomms own Scorpion core.

Now would be the release of the 10″variant of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet has been canceled. RIM has the advent of the tablet is never confirmed, but there are already more than half a year rumors about the larger PlayBook. The tablet, which RIM has now released, has a screen diagonal of 7″.

When the BlackBerry with QNX needs to come true, is unknown. Tweakers.net learned that the release is scheduled for the first quarter of 2012, but it could not be confirmed. Also how the device will look like is unclear. The image below is an impression of how the device might look like.
