Microsoft claims SP1 for Office 2010 will be available

Microsoft has released the first service pack for Office 2010 to be released. In SP1 include other enhancements in Office Web Apps, in addition to the various bug fixes and updates to the office software of Microsoft are implemented.

SP1 appears half a year after the first beta in november 2010 by Microsoft was released. The service pack contains such as, usually bug fixes and other updates that already are distributed by Microsoft. In addition, the Office Web Apps, the webapplicatieversies Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, of the necessary new code. Also, Microsoft now officially supports Google Chrome in combination with Office Web Apps.

In addition to patches for the known applications of the Office 2010 suites, there are in SP1 for Office 2010 improvements in Office 2010 Server, Project 2010, Visio 2010, Search Server 2010, and SharePoint 2010. SP1 is in both 32bit as 64bit versions available, including in English. In addition, the first service pack for Office 2010 to be removed as the user wishes. Office users have SP1, however, still manually download; only about a few months service packs will be offered automatically via the update mechanism of Office 2010.
