The American robotfabrikant MegaBots has the Japanese Suidobashi Heavy Industry is challenged to a robotduel. The Japanese have this via a YouTube video accepted and the responsibility for the organisation of the duel with the Americans.

The challenge for the duel was at the end of last month, MegaBots on YouTube. The Americans will have their Mark II bets. That is a 4.5-meter-high robot of 5.5 tons of that on petrol running. “And because we Americans are, we have all the great weapons on mounted,” says one of the creators. The Mark II is a reconnaissance robot with tracks that paintballs of 1.3 pounds with a 160-mile-per-hour blast.

The Japanese see it as a erekwestie and go to the duel. “Giant robots belong to the Japanese culture. We need this win”, says Kugoro Kurata, director of Suidobashi Heavy Industry. Kurata has, since 2012, the Kuratas in the house. That is 4 meters high, weighs 4 tons, and has space for one person. Although Kuratas lighter and smaller, he has dual gatling guns, a targeting system and a heads-up display.

The Japanese is not impressed by the Mark II. He believes it is “too American to something great to build weapons”. Kurata sees himself most like the two robots literally with each other on the fist. “I want them to actually scrap can whack.” When and where the two robots fighting, is not yet clear. The Americans set in their video: “About a year, we are going to fight.”
